The Barn workshop concentrates on the restoration, renovation, and reconstruction of the historic barn located on the Strawberry Hill School site. Designed to accommodate the new student maker space and a community meeting location, the Barn Workshop offers a yearlong program following the current construction schedule. This opportunity offers hands-on experience, where students participate in the renovation and gain an understanding of how architecture, design, and construction trades collaborate.
Students observe construction progress/ sequencing in real-time by participating in on-site tours. The Barn Workshop also includes interviews where students can interact virtually with designers, architects, and construction managers who have a role in revitalizing this unique and cherished structure.
